Schedule for #mlearngulf

The schedule for "Mobile Learning: Gulf Perspectives" (ZU Abu Dhabi, 25 April) will be as follows:

8.30-9.00: Arrivals

9.00-9.10: Opening

9.10-10.05: Plenary 1 - Researching the UAE iPad Initiative (Dr. Christina Gitsaki and Dr. Matthew Robby, HCT; Troy Priest, ZU; Yazid Ben-Chabane, UAEU)

10.10-11.05: Plenary 2 - Bring your own Mobile Devices to the Classroom and Switch them On (Dr. Ieda Santos, ECAE)

11.05-11.20: Coffee break

11.20-12.15: Plenary 3 - Mobile Learning: From Research to Practice to Impact Education (Dr. Mohamed Ally, Athabasca University)

12.15-2.00: Lunch/ Interactive presentations: mobile learning practice in Gulf contexts.

2.00-3.15: Workshops: researching mobile learning in your context.

3.15-3.30: Coffee break

3.30-4.30: Closing panel discussion.

Registration now open for #mlearngulf

Registration is now open for the research symposium Mobile Learning: Gulf Perspectives.  Please register at:

Registration fee is AED 100 (waived for presenters).  There is an option to register and defer payment, but your place will be guaranteed only on payment of the registration fee.
